Form Rifle Stocks have a laser chequering cutter. I saw some of the results on their stand on Friday, very nice on the walnut.
Give them a call to see if they do other people's stocks. Really nice chaps.
I have a custom made rifle stock with hand-cut checkering on the pistol grip but none on the forend. I would like 2 panels of checkering cut on the forend to match the pistol grip. Can anyone on here offer this sort of service, or recommend anyone who can?
Cheers
Greg

The work done by these guys is very good.

What lines per inch is the chequering on the grip?
Can you post some photographs? Or email me if that’s easier.
Cheers, Craig
Put on heading 270, assume attack formation
Craig, I'll measure the lines per inch this evening. I don't know it off the top of my head but it is quite a coarse pattern, reminds me of Theoben checkering. PM me your email address and I'll send you a pic.
Thanks for the other replies guys. Regarding laser checkering it is very different to hand-cut checkering and what I'm after is an exact match so I don't think its really an option.
Cheers

Blackmax on here restored my Theoben Profile stock and hand checkered the panels. Much sharper and better defined than before.
