Thoughts on the theoben evolution? Got a chance to buy one, never had a gas ram before, are they any good?

I have one in .22 . got it with the pump and hose for a good price but I have hardly shot it . Mine is a ambi beech stock.
Hoping to get out with it more due to a new permission having more woods than my other open land permission. .
Mine is a 2003 or there abouts model.
Lovley gun, when set up right... 10.5ftlbs & a properly adjusted trigger & they are amazing. Just make sure the trigger feels smooth & not sticky or graunchy.

"corners should be round" Theo Evo .22/.177 - Meopta 6x42, DS huntsman classic .20 vortex razor LH 3-15x42 under supervised boingrati tuning by Tony L & Tinbum, HW77 forest green - Nikon prostaff 2-7x32 plex.
Another vote in favour of rammers, I have an evo in .177 and love it. Accurate lightweight quiet and dependable. As rhys said the triggers are the weak spot but they can be adjusted to an acceptable standard. Provided the rifle is in good condition snap it up mate.

It’s apparently mint condition, my version of mint may differ from theirs, off to view this Saturday, anything I should look out for? The guy says it’s just had new seals.
Common problem is the triggers being pulled when the barrel isn't shut. Don't touch it if the stock has been repaired for a crack through the grip as it will probably have a bent barrel too if this has happened. Generally the repaired stock is easier to spot than the bent barrel. hth mate

I've one in .20 plain Jane ambi-stock and I've still got it
Trigger on mine is rubbish, well the first stage is rubbish and it's hold sensitive, in that you have to be consistent with the trigger and hold to get the accuracy.
That said, my most mental bestest ever 5 shot group (with rammer or springer) was shot with this gun, rested at 27y. If I were to show the card on here I'd be accused of lying.
A very satisfying gun to shoot.
I have one in .22. As previously said really lightweight and accurate. Mines at around 11.6ftlb and quite snappy but superbly quiet and accurate.
it's the trigger as others have said that can be the Achilles heel of the Evo, definitely try before you buy.

Dave.
