    3L cylinder testing price

I didn't realize that my filling bottle has past the 5 years mark and the diving shop refused to fill it up.
They quoted 40 quid plus VAT to test it and they need a week to turn around.

I feel the price is too dear and run away.

What's the going rate nowadays? I remember a few years agao in Solihull it was around 20 quid for a test, if I remember right.

A test is a test, regardless of cylinder capacity, I reckon you could save a couple of quid by shopping around but £40 seems reasonable to me

Air Services in Kent charged me £35 for a test and fill for a 7ltr 300 bar cylinder.

    One week turnaround.

Different shops in different areas charge different amounts, iirc someone recently said they had just had a test done for either £10 or £15 Merseyside area.

I paid £30 about 4 years ago, so next year expect it will be £40+.

Just asked my local dive shop, £32 (any size) plus any serviceable parts (if required) when they strip/check the valve. Free air fill on completion. Less than one week turnaround. I'm happy with that.

Looking at the replies, £48 seems a bit rich; guess that includes a free fill (though only 3L). Prices might just be higher near you? Travel time & costs can be a major factor.

Yep, I had 2 cylinders done last month at £15 each to include full refill at CTS, Speke, Liverpool.
