    Copy pre-war BSA ?

I mentioned on my previous BSA thread that we picked up another one at the rubbish tip for £30. Well I decided to refinish it in G96 cold blue this weekend, started to clean up the trigger block and saw it was not a BSA. What is it please ? Believe or not it is doing 6.9 ft.lb. as it is now with a few broken parts.

    Hi Baz,

I believe it is a Haenel (probably a model IV or IVE) - I'm sure someone will come along with more info. But I'm sure that is the later Haenel trade mark.

Yes that is a Haenel Modell IV and it should say so on top of the cylinder.
Month and Year of manufacture should be underneath the cockinglever, on the barrel.

Hi Baz, it is a Haenel. l have one with the same stamping on the trigger block, mine has Haenel model lVE stamped on top of the cylinder. just as good build wise as a BSA.
