    Inflation

    Interesting fact....my dad purchased a FWB sport for my 15th birthday from Optima Leisure in 1980 cost £79...that's £328 in today's money.

    I purchased a BSA Mercury, (which I've still got) for £35 in 1978. What's that in today's money? I don't know how to work it out.

    Technically my dad purchased it for me, as I was only 14 in 1978.
