BSA Mercury Challenger. 177 for sale

This is a restored gun so a nice shooter rather than a mint original. Action has had a full re-blue by Colin Molloy, scope rail re-anodised, back block re-enamelled, stock re-finished by me. Internals polished with guides and top hat new seals etc. Shoots at about 11ft lbs and accurately with falcon accuracy plus.

It has open sights but they are not the original metal type, the stock was drilled for sling swivels on the butt and under the forend which I have plugged prior to the re-finish. Obviously still visible but blend in quite well. Overall this is a very nice looking gun that still delivers good power and accuracy. I would like £200 for it, can email pics on request.

Very nice, those look like the original rearsight on my .22 model btw, is the stock laquered or oil finish? Didn't see your email as it had been sent to my spam folder as yahoo have decided that emails with pictures of guns are blocked images & treat them as spam now. Thanks yahoo for reading my private emails for me...NOT! I think that last comment warrents it's own thread in general airgun. p.s. Forgot to ask has it had the piston buffer washer replaced?

Sorry Max - I completely forgot to update the thread

The rifle arrived on Wednesday - I'm over the moon with it mate. You've done a lovely job on the restoration.

Thanks for the tip - those FAPs work a treat.
