    What grade of steel for spring guides?

    Hi all,

    A question for the shed tuners really, what grade of steel is recommended for making rear spring guides please.

    Stainless, both 304 and 316 grades. Both are esily available.

    Stainless seems a little bit excessive to me and expensive, I don't think V-mach even uses stainless in his kits.

    Anything from the scrap bin. Many folks use plastic, so whatever grade steel you use, it'll be just fine
