Everything depends on the hammer price, we have a lot of buyers in a lot of countries, if you look at what quality collections of airguns make on sale day its often double what you would get selling privately and massively more than trying to sell a collection to an RFD in one hit.
As long as you can agree a reserve that your comfortable with, all the risk is with us to sell it at a good price?

A good few people think nothing of paying £2K-£3K, even £6K on a shotgun. What price a pretty fab air rifle? The better, more sophisticated, ones have as much engineering as any shotgun.
Apologies for straying a bit off thread, but I notice Holts also have a refinished Webley Mk2 Service on offer in the rarer .25 calibre with matching Ser No to the barrel.
The refinish will no doubt put many off, but it will be interesting to see if it reaches anything close to the estimate.

If its not pitted its straightforward to strip the enamel and polish and reblack to the original finish spec...
Might have a punt myself if it goes for the lower estimate

Considering the rarity, considering the high profile these rifles have, considering its a good looker, then I'm not surprised at all. There are cars that cost more than that to get serviced.
Someone has a lovely rifle.
GSMN1's guess was very close then.

Looks like someone wanted it quite badly
That or the price paid is a mistake?
