    JSB 4.52 alternative

    Guys.

Recently acquired a lovely 77k LSD tuned etc

So after testing several pellets including

    FTT no8s
    FTT std
    AA Express
    AA diabolo 4.52
    Qys
    Jsb heavy
    Mosquitos
    Jsb express

It seemed to like the jsb 8.44 4.52 the best easily shooting the small red dot on shoot n c targets a 30m consistently and all within an inch at 40m.

Annoyingly power was little hot on chrono 11.8/9 so bloke I've bought it from sending me a shorter spring so easily sorted.

Anyway last tin of jsb I bought was £15 and I'd say 50/75 pellets seemed mangled/deformed so premium price and budget quality.

Can anyone recommend anything I can try before buying a sleeve of the 4.52 jsb

Not had a fussy hw before but tye accuracy of the jsb in 4.52 was superb 👌

    Thanks all

As you've posted here I'll reply here.
I've just bought some 8.44 (4.52) for my 97 from our sponser, JS Ramsbottom, and they were extremely well packaged and at £12.19 a tin (postage is a fiver for a sleeve) they're competitively priced too.
You may find that after changing the spring it's preffered pellet could change.

Ive always found bisley mag and RWS superdome consistent and reliable in .177

    JSB alternative

Have you seen the hype surrounding the new H&N Baracuda 8 - .177 Pellets?
They are 8.44 grain also. I haven't tried them yet but suspect H&N wish to compete with JSB, pricing them at under a tenner a tin.

I've also never had a pellet fussy HW springer barrel but my preference points towards H&N.

So, another one to try......very good in the ones I've tried them in and, seemingly, very good results achieved by others also.......the H&N Baracuda FT.

Crosman 7.9 grains Domed or premier may be worth a try.
