    HW30 Trigger

    Hi,
Can somebody advise me on the HW30 (not s model) please.
It all works fine but when it is not cocked the trigger flaps backwards & forwards. Is this normal?
    Thanks
    Dave

Usually happens when its set too light, if you screw the alloy trigger adj screw in, it goes away. But then your trigger pull is heavier.

I don't think there'll be the adjuster screw on the Perfekt trigger?

    Maybe a spring gone awry?

Maybe worth a look on the Chambers spares site for a schematic?

The stock hasn't been changed, has it, as this may cause some stock material to interrupt free movement?

The Perfect trigger does not have an adjusting screw. It sounds like someone has fitted a Rekord unit.

    trigger

    Hi,
Don't think there is any doubt that my trigger is a reckord - it has the usual safety catch etc.
So is it just a case of adjusting the screw behind the trigger or is something missing.
I've never experienced this on my HW35 and I've had that for 36 years now.
    Thanks
    Dave

Give it a try, as per post 2, and see what happens.

The newer 30 is fitted with the Rekord unit.
You need to increase trigger weight with the alloy screw behind the blade.
Go careful. If this rifle is used but new to you, someone may well have adjusted other parts of the unit.

    trigger

Took the stock off and found the front adjuster screw is missing.
Thanks for the suggestions as to the problem, I will order screw from Chambers tomorrow.
    Regards
    Dave
