    The mag was on the table for some reason, but yep, as not in situ, that may be why the M1 remained unsold? Good point and well presented.

    A further thought: maybe the magazine's securing mechanism/retaining clips were faulty which would explain the anomaly of why said M1 was being displayed without the mag fitted? This again may well explain why it remained unsold?

    It's a shame they never made the Crosman M1 Carbine 'Gorilla Cavalry' version from Planet of the Apes.

    Amazingly, in gun-crazy USA, they actually have a Planet of the Apes replica stock you can fit your real M1 into. Because a tyrant government should have to deal with grillas on horseback, just like those zombies may need slaying with 'zombie' guns.
