As factory Springers go will the TX ever be beat ?

Apart from tinkering with the swept volume how can the TX be improved in any significant way ? any Ideas that are not just nit picking

Honestly, I think that because it's so easy to strip and fettle to individual tase, it's the best springer out there at the moment.

    It's my favourite air rifle.

    All of the above.

You didn't like your 77 better then?

Umarex and new factory Diana just don't seem the same quality as AA, maybe even new factory HW's.
Is AA the only airgun manufacturer that is trying to keep old school quality, it just looks that way to me

This may be nit picking but if they could improve on the cocking mechanism so it doesn't need an extra hard tug at the end to set the safety properly it would be perfect, saying that, I love my MKII and can't honestly think of anything else I'd change about it. The fact it's fully left handed is a bonus too!
Sometimes I sits and thinks, but mostly I just sits.

I definitely think it’s the nicest looking especially in walnut. But I prefer the Weihrauch as it’s eaisier to load with either hand

TBH the LGV is much better finished mechanically than Dianas and HWs. Not quite as pretty I grant you. But properly finished spring ends, no horrific burrs or galling, and even the right amount of the right kind of lube. About as easy to get inside as a TX too.
I remain impressed with its off-the-shelf shootability.

Must confess I've no experience with the TX, must try one some day. I do need an underlever at some point.

Honestly, No mate, the 77 will be up for sale soon.

The 77 is nice but, I think the TX suits my apeness better

A well set up TX shouldn't need that.

Would it still be a "Factory" springer if you have to "set it up well" ?

Surely that would be a modified rifle

Fair comment but, mine wasn't difficult to cock even when it was brand new.

    What calibre is it & isn't it a MK1/25mm?

For me, yes...... install a trigger blade which is set further forward. The set-back blade which AA uses is waaaayy too far back for those of us with normal size hands and finger lengths.

Stood next to an SR LH yesterday. Had a go, as we do, so silky. he'd bought it new a few years ago from the shop we were at. £150
He had a go at my Mk1 and was impressed even cack handed.
