    Your favourite 'compact' scopes?

Many scope manufacturers seem to follow the 'bigger is better' mantra when it comes to airgun suitable scopes, but I think that the options for more compact scopes are comparatively under represented. I have a couple of TX's, and smaller scopes definitely make sense weight wise on them.

A few that spring to my mind are scopes that I have owned, but since sold (for reasons I no longer remember or understand) and now regret. Especially as they are now discontinued!

    Leupold 3-9x33 EFR
    Vortex Diamondback HD 2-8x32
And of course the little 1.5-5x20 WTC.

    What was I thinking?!?

So what are you favourite 'compact' scopes, that make perfect sense on an airgun?

I have a 4 X 32 Leapers Bugbuster which genuinely focuses down to a very clear 3 yards -- ideal for plinking -- although the eye relief is a bit short at 3".

The Simmons 1.5-5 X20 WTC is of course unbeatable (IMO) as a compact scope.

    TRS1,

    For me, the 1.5 - 5 x 20 Simmons WTC.

I have had mine for over twenty (20) years, and it is still going strong

Have fun & a good Bank Holiday

    Best regards

The Simmons 1.5~5x20 still fantastic and reasonably priced and, as recommended above, the Nikon Pro Staff 2~7x32. I'm lucky to have the latter in BDC reticule which is ideal for hunting. That being said I'm sure the Leupold has better glass but costs a lot more.

Most of the scopes I have are 4x32 / 33, Swarovski Habicht Nova, Tasco AG (bought secondhand looks new) and Leupold VX1 with alumina covers (new, never used)

I also just bought a Hawk 2-7x32 form Gareth which seems to have very clear bright optics

I bought the Swarovski from Westbury Guns in 1985 and it has been on every srpinger, pump up and PCP I've had and is still in good working condition, can't ask for more, can you ?

How can I forget!!! Meopta artemis 2000 4x32. Probably the best airgun scope I own. The 4a reticle is superb!

Very nice, I read a review of the high end scopes in one of the airgun mags and plumped for the Swarovski over the Zeiss as it was reported slightly better value for money

    Nxs

I suppose it really depends on which aspect of airgunning you are using it for?

Have tried a few and by far the best for me is the Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x24, its only fault is availabilty and price

+1 great little scope, there is also the Diatal C 10x36 with AO, almost identical scope but with the benefit of parallax adjustment, I also have 2
