    crazy people!

I was reading on social media today about a guy looking for info on filling a gun with nitrogen as he could get it for free from work, now I have no knowledge of this but advised him against it but couldn't believe the amount of others encouraging him to do it! does anyone have any idea what would happen?

Nitrogen is inert so it would be safe the trouble arises when people play with oxygen.

Nitrogen is used in the states for both guns and tyres for its qualities.

Also used to test Pressure relief Valves . Well we used nitrogen when testing then at the compressor place I worked at .

" In many high pressure testing applications for leak testing, gaseous nitrogen is utilized as a medium due to its low investment cost. "

It also does not introduce moisture into the test equipment.

My work is the biggest consumer of liquid nitrogen in the country.
It's bloody cold at -196 degrees C and 1 litre expands to 694 litres of gas.

Glad I got that off my chest :-)
