Im 6' and find the tx quite stumpy. The length of pull is too short and also the length from grip to trigger is too short for me as well.
The HWs on the other hand, seem to be made to fit me.
There's a lot to be said for a rifle that feel right when you shoulder it.
My advice is close your eyes the first time you shoulder any gun. Get it comfortable and get your cheek in where it's supposed to be. Hold it there for a few seconds and see how it feels for fit. FINALLY, open your eyes and see where your line of sight falls. If you don't let the new gun excitement get to you, and you don't fall purely for the looks of a gun when you first see it, the this is a good test which will tell you if you need to make modifications so that it fits you properly.
Let's face it, these things are knocked out 10 to the dozen- that's why cheek riser kits, triggers and adjustable butt pads are so popular.

Tx is easier on the eye ... its "fancy" in comparison
TX can only be loaded from the right hand side (my main bugbear)
TX has that ratchet ...(out in the field ??)
TX is better out the box IMO .... can you get a walnut option for a 97 ?
TX internals are better ....having been inside both ...TX is easier and quicker to get inside ..... TX gets a top hat as std ...(stand to be corrected here the one I looked inside did)

Would I buy a TX .... mmmmmm .....that right hand side load ... I hold the underlever down with the right hand

Find a left handed TX and swap out the stock for a right handed one. You will have to open a notch on the left side of the stock for the loading port, but it works very well. Used beech stocks are common and it won't be that big a deal to alter it. If you shoot left handed, like me, I would say you are indeed strange.

Just save a bit more and buy a Prosport as once you get the taste of the TX you'll look at the Prosport and wish you'd got that instead

In my opinion, you have the best all rounder PCP that you can buy today - you just need to balance it with a fine British springer

The TX200hc works better for me on all levels and, I think it's the nicer rifle.
It's easier to open and work on. The deep bluing and wording on the action is nice. I like the fish scale, walnut stocks. It shoots lovely wether its left standard or short stroked.
The loading port and ABT become second nature quickly.

It fits me well and, I can get decent accuracy from it.

The whole thing just feels sturdy and well made.

There are some good after market bits for both rifles - if you go down the TX route, I can recommend an adjustable butt pad and a Rowan adjustable trigger.

As already said - it's best to try both if you can.

It what also normally happens with the "what break barrel" threads and it always turns out to be a 95 that gets bought which is understandable as Air Arms don't have one to compete against it

The Prosport is a very controversial rifle amongst underlever lovers, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautifulest modern rifles on the market today, it's performance is exceptional and it's balance is spot on but it has it's haters, some people don't like the underlever as they say it's sharp and hurts their little fingees (ahh diddams) and it should be black or made of steel, the other bugbear is its weight and the fact that it's nearly £100 dearer than the TX but it depends on what you want at the end of the day.
