    The leading scientists of death, killing and maiming (American military) have done quite a bit of research on calibre vs stopping power.

    Whilst the usa invest millions to find the most effective way to kill, some will disregard the results of the research, insisting that the Americans are wrong and a well placed
    .177 air arms field will stop just as well at a 7.62mm round..... That research was concluded in a field just outside of Swansea....

    FAC .22 running 20ftp has the same power curve than .177 tuning 12ftp

    ive always had 22,but tried a 177 and could not fault it

    Which springer

    Whilst the HW98 is a fine rifle in it's own right I would opt for a HW35 with it's shorter stroke for a break barrel
    target rifle in .177 of course .
