I own a .36 Le Page black powder, percussion pistol that as we all know requires a good clean after every use. Can anyone offer any advice as to the best form of jag for cleaning out the fluid following on from the brush clean. I ask this as I have already had one expensive adventure where my cleaning rod sheared off in the powder chamber at the base of the barrel. I think this was caused by the jag requiring too much twist to get it back out of the barrel, obviously I had wound the 4x2 incorrectly. Now I am paranoid about getting anything stuck in the barrel and yet at the same time achieving a good clean. Any comments please, other than the man's an idiot!
