Most do seem to prefer them with a lighter, Delrin, top hat, which is one of the little parts making up the TbT kit.

You may need a little more preload on the spring once you've fitted the lighter top hat, so make sure you have the chrono on standby for power check. Anything over 10.5 will do nicely.

We have a fail rate on rear guides of <1%, but some just fail in the first 50 or so shots due to imperfections in the plastic. The next biggest cause is the spring having burrs or rough spots which score a line similar to a glass cutter which fails under pressure. Either way they all have a lifetime guarantee, had you let us know it would have been replaced straight away.

One of mine failed after about 20 shots. You replaced withing 2 working days.
Due to changing from mk3 to mk2 spring I don't use the guide anymore, but the customer service was A+. Highly recommended

That pm was less than an hour ago and it sounded very much like it was in the past tense and certainly after you complained on this thread. I am not smart, don't worry.

Personally I would be looking at a custom stock. Tuning is fine, but not much cop if you struggle to reach the trigger or have poor scope/eye alignment. A well fitting stock can make a world of difference, even to an old twanger
