I think the 45 as a 22mm piston, but not sure if it rotates.

Ha, Richard cheated 'cos he knew, but yes

HW45 and 25 have 22mm, but not rotating.

The annie 250 is another one I forgot about , but not sure that rotates either ?

easy enough to make 6 ft lb at 22mm

I wonder what a tx would shoot like at that power

Very, very often the case, Charlie.

I was asking a similar-ish question on the thread about recoilless springers, hmangphilly. But looking at power in the region of 9.5 ft.lbs for longer range outdoor applications.

Lucky guess, Richard had no idea

But I figured that by now you wouldn't have been able to resist taking a perfectly good gun apart just to see

    Blimey!

It would be great if you have the time / facilities to have a play with this idea.

To get the most optimised set-up would take some time and experimentation, methinks, as it wouldn't just entail using weaker springs, but would involve playing with stroke lengths, piston weight, TP dimensions etc etc.

Be great if you're up for it, though!

I had a play at 9 ft-lb with my TX200 HC. I didn't get as far as optimising it for that power though. The extra windage was really noticeable, especially at 40 and 45 yards. Would be great for indoors or still days though

Well the spring / stroke combo would deffo need looking at in order to get the power down and consistent ......cor ...a short stroke 22 mm tx ....great fun .
I'm part way through a 22mm lgu at the moment and i've got a long rod piston , i'll pop it in and see if it gives some base figures for a tx . it would be great to get 80mm or less

while i'm at it .....has any one gone below 21mm ? i suppose springs are the limitation down there .
