    Nomads Springer Competition 2018

They threatened lightning, they threatened thunder, they threatened torrential rain and flash flooding (no mention of a plague of frogs, but I’m sure it would have been there somewhere in the small print, and there was a swarm of bees), and all starting at midnight, and lasting until 18:00. The reality was occasional distant thunder, a brief drop of rain, with sunshine during the afternoon, and scarcely a breath of wind for the first of an event that we found so much fun that we have decided will in future be the Nomad’s annual Recoil Competition.

First, a huge thank you to Mick Boswell, who organised the barbeque, and enough free grub to satisfy the most gargantuan appetites, both before and after the shoot.

And so to the results. Steve Whiting and Mick Fern tied on 53 for top spot, with Steve calmly taking the shoot off, and Gary Chillingworth took third place on 51.

    Positions on count back.

Thank you so much for a lovely day, shooting, socialising and getting down on my knees with dodgy looking guys in the woods. Thanks to Danny and Gary for helping me around the course and transporting me back and forth to venue. It was a lovely day and that was not tears all over my tea shirt on the way back and I was not sulking. I had fallen asleep and dribbled through my missing tooth. I must remember to put my dentures in next time.
Does anyone know how to contact doughnuts Anonymous cos I just cant seem to give them up and may be a 0 addict
