    Seal Material?

I have a nice HS Mod 71 in its box but cant be used as the seal has perished and broken into two bits. It is good enough to take measurements from so I plan to try and turn a new one on my Unimat. Could anyone advise what material I should use. Polyurethane ? Many thanks Steve

I buy polyurethane rod and turn them on my Emco Compact 5. You need 90 to 95 Shore A hardness material. You may have to experiment with tool grinding to get a nice finish.

Thankyou. Really helpful. I suspect I will need to practice a lot to get anywhere like good enough. Steve
