    Parker Hale Dragon

I just bought one of these and am very pleased with it, has a lovely grained stock with QD studs well fitted and the overall condition is very good for it's age. I was also surprised it wasn't heavier, it seems to have a nice balance

My question is, does anyone specialise in these, I'd like advice before messing with it ? The bolt knob doesn't seem to be fixed to the bolt itself, the muzzle barrel block isn't present which I suspect was removed to fix a silencer adapter which the rifle came with

Thanks to Phil Russell for the manuals he freely gave to me

    Yes, Keith's the man.

I must contact him myself sometime as I need a complete pump arm and stock for my Dragon.

Just tagging onto this thread, but........

My Mk2 has an issue where the scope rail is out of line with the barrel. The barrel is straight, the main body tube is straight, but the breech just isn't in line. It's not glaringly obvious and its only after zeroing and finding the pellets striking out to the right the further out you shoot that makes it apparent.
The gun is flawless in every other respect and the stock has been beautifully restored, but I'm pulling my hair out with this issue.

Can I get a mount thats adjustable for windage? I just want to get it sorted before I inevitably sell it!

yes Nick, in fact I have one someplace I use in case of such eventualities on guns. The front and rear can be adjusted for around 1mm of lateral movement each. A google should throw something up, but if you get stuck, let me know..

    here's one:

I'm currently looking for: an old style Parker Hale (not Pax) Pheonix, a .177 mk1 Meteor barrel ( or a whole gun if cheap), and a project Crosman 2200 (or bits). Thanks, JB.

Had a similar problem, was about to give up when I removed the thread protector from the end and could see the threaded portion was bent, with the protector on it looked perfectly straight, carefully straightened the threaded end and now shoots straight and true, the end thread is easily bent.

presumably when it had a silencer attached ?

It's only an M10 fine thread IIRC, so pretty delicate - ~ 8mm core dia with a 5.5mm hole thru it..

Would have seen it had I a 10mm silencer, the thread protector masked the problem,I fired over 250 shot before finding the problem my right arm resembled Popeye's and left leg had has a bruise 6" round where I placed the rifle to cock it,the next step was to use it as a javlin.
