    Anschutz Sporter ?

Have I recently seen somewhere that Anschutz are introducing a 'sporting version' of one of their target rifles, a PCP I think possibly along the lines of Steyrs Hunting 5 ?

    I wish I understood that but it's not a language I speak

Considering how nice their rimfire's are how can they make an air rife so ugly?

Think he means he spoke to them and told them what British shooters would want.

Looks like they didn't bother listening and stuck a bit of wood on the end of a target rifle.

    Hunting 5 ? I think not

It is however, beautifully engineered and works very well indeed.

No or I would have bought one it feels so nice in the hands, price is circa £2500- stupid really when you can buy a club for £1500 and its the same action (but in 6FT).

A customer was in the shop when I looked at it and had one himself, he couldn't speak highly enough of it!

The skeleton stock kind of reminds me of the Falcon Prarie or whatever it was called!

What you mean is that they didnt consider his opinion of what British shooters would want to be good information worth acting upon. I rather like the look of it but not the price. Out of my league unfortunately but I spose you get what you pay for

Oh I don't doubt that for one second, simply my personal view of the aesthetics, to me the rounded cut outs don't suit the hard straight outside edges of the stock & the stock as a whole doesn't suit the action/tube design.

Probably look way better with a solid synthetic stock (imho)

I agree with Mr angrybear, it's not even fugly, it's just plain horrible to look at

This is one rifle I'm not sorry doesn't have a southpaw option, for us blokes and blokesses that shoot with the proper hand.

I personally wouldn't pay that amount for an air rifle and I certainly wont if it there's no Southpaw option but I bet its a joy to shoot and extremly accurate being an 'Annie' !
For a sporter, I would have prefrred a synthetic stock and an all black/dark matt finish. It looks just a bit 'jewel-like' for my tastes.

Wouldn't mind reading a review in AGW if Mr. Doe could lay his hands on one, how about it Terry ?

I don't mean anything. I was merely offering a translation of what I thought he meant.

Sorry about that. I should have said that was my translation of what he said based on past experience of trying to decipher Hareng speak into real world English.
