    Artemis PP700SA - .177 or Crosman Silhouette 1701P

As my Brocock Atomic is losing pressure at around 80bar over 12hrs or so, and I've had no reply to my e-mail to Brocock, I am contemplating the above. Is it wise, or should I wait on Brocock? I do love the little Atomic, but I'm uber impatient and want to get shooting. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Well, firstly how much is the Crosman? Just doing a quick google revealed that DAI leisure are selling them for £554- really??. It's a 2240 with a High pressure air tank- £220 max surely?
The PP700 in any guise is a great pistol- I've got one, and an Atomic (plus 36 other pistols...) Is your atomic still under warranty? If so take it back to the shop you bought it from. If not it can only be a leaking seal or more likely a bit of dirt has got on one. Are you using a divers bottle or stirrup pump to charge it?

All changed, Atomic is prob 8+ years old, so well out of warranty. I use a pump as getting a bottle refilled is a pain. With collection / delivery Brocock would charge approx £240 for a service. Are there any tutorials on a seal replacement that you know of, keeping in mind I have zero experience or facilities lol? I decided against both of the above pistols and opted for a .177 Weihrauch HW44, along with a Vortex Venom reflex sight. I'd still like to sort the Atomic though.

Just looked on you tube and surprisingly there's no stripdown guide.

    Here is a seal kit-

And another kit, just for the atomic which is a better bet.

Can't find a specific parts diagram, but found one for a compact rifle made by brocock which seems to have a similar action. Useful for stripdown

    Normally straightforward.
Make sure the air cylinder is completely empty- dry-fire it empty. AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR SAFETY.
Then slowly dismantle taking photos as you go and if neccessary labelling components as you go.

Almost certainly a seal has split or a bit of dust has worked its way in so work with utmost cleanliness. You'll enjoy it and when done be sure to post instructions and pics to help us out

Don't forget a human being assembled it so another human being must be able to dismantle and repair it. Always served me well!

    Have fun...
