I use a AAs400f classic, its silly good pellet on pellet every time, ive had bsa ultra and bsa scorpion both good but not as good as s400f,lots of guns have come and gone but this aas400 id never sell, slightly cheaper and supposed to be just as good is aas200.
Tried one it seemed very well made and was very accurate heavyish but I don't think it'll bother if you've used a 77 I'm a southpaw so not much cop to me .
Hi B&D the air arms s410 in .177 cal is a bargain and was my 1st pcp
and is still a popular airgun.

The Walthers get good reviews for a budget rifle -
I’ve seen too many AA thin barrels bent (though usually easily fixable) and they are a good simple design
I prefer BSA and prefer older s/h and then JB blueprinted so I guess my BSAs are custom spec. I prefer the sturdy barrel planted well into breach block
There are plenty of Webley Raiders around too and old Titan/ Falcon rifles - all good budget bets
Looking for TO-6 Trigger unit unmessed with or T0-6 kit for 34
I have been a springer shooter almost exclusively but a couple of years ago I bought a secondhand BSA Scorpion single shot, (not the SE, the earlier one) and it is spectacularly accurate (sub-10mm groups at 35 yards) with a superb trigger. It's a really well-made simple piece of kit. I think it was about £250. Of course you have to buy a tank or a pump, but for the outlay on a new TX200 or similar I have a really great rifle which is easy to maintain and a total pleasure to shoot. It is so good I never think about buying another PCP, that's it for me.
The only down side to it is that it has the odd size 14mm BSA scope grooves, so you have to buy a set of BKL mounts which are expensive but pure quality. Otherwise I cannot fault the rifle.
I have a Brum Raider 2 shot and a very good tool it is. Mine is a bit pellet fussy liking Bisley Super field, Superdomes and AA pellets mainly also even though I fitted an Anti Fart kit from a reputable source of the time it still emits a hint. Feels nice in the shoulder too. Also recommend a BSA Spitfire, mine has been breathed on by JD and apart from loosing air over couple nights which isn't an issue it's an absolutely cracking carbine to use. Reminds me of my old Brum made Lighting to handle.
John Darling JD (1946-2004) was my inspiration to be the best i can and enjoy the sport i love. R.I.P
