    Verify these specs?

    http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model.pl?model_id=379

I noticed the velocity is listed as 1300 ft/sec. That's...unreal.

Does this gun really fire at 886 mph?

That's faster than the speed of sound!

It's probably a tad under that, but the stealth/talon type rifles are known for their high performance thanks to an extremely efficient inline valve - coupled with a long barrel I don't think the specs quoted are too off the mark. Remember though that manufacturers/enterpreneurs (particularly in the US where velocity sells) do tend to use unrealistically light projectiles (whose weight they do not quote in their brochures) in order to be able to advertise the highest possible velocity.

Can't possibly be true, everyone knows that a pcp can't discharge pellets at supersonic speeds!

Those in 'the know' can get rather remarkable velocities from the Stealth (so I heard)

And an Engineer, known to us both Jon, made a "test rig" that fired .22 Magnum's at 1300fps....a little noisy in his Workshop!

Sorry, but if this gun really does achieve a 1300 feet/second velocity, that's slightly faster than Mach 1.2, and it is indeed supersonic.

Very interesting. How accurate are these things? What's the range?
