    Hi all,

Hee Hee hee, you truly are a most amusing character, Pete.

Yes, I've got one. In fact I've got loads of 'em!

    I have five of your all-time favourites, the classic 35. A 55T. Two 95s. A 98. Two 97s. A 77 with V-Mach kit and synthetic stock. A 77K. A 77 Vantage. A 50. Two 99s. Two Venom tuned 80s. Four 30Ss. My Lazaglided HW80 bullpup, The Predator. Pistols - HW45, 70 and 40. I think that's it; I'll shout up if I remember any more!

And you know what? I love every single one of them. Some may be tuned, some home fettled, some totally bog standard and I'm truly happy with every single one of them.

I really don't need any more guns. What I actually need is more time to play with and lovingly caress my beloved HWs.

You’ve got far too many there, mate.
Bring a few of them to the bash, I’ll rehome them for you - but it’s a favour...

    No, no, no, no, no!

One can never have too many lovely HWs, Craigy.

The only thing that's stopping me having more is lack of safe storage space and funds.

Hope you and the family are all keeping well matey.

I dunno, once I have reached the end of my Weihrauch experiment I might sell them all and get a TX200HC or a ProSport. Maybe keep the old 30 and of course the 35...

    Weihrauchs I don't like are

    HW98
    HW95
    'New' HW85
    HW57
    HW45
    'New' HW25
    Any kind of HW80
    HW97 long and short
    HW75
    HW40
    HW100 etc
The new pistol that looks like a scarey sex-toy
    HW55
    HW99S and 'new' HW50

That is quite a nest of them I doan like. They are all a bit lacking in one department or another.

    So you like the 35, 77, old 50, old 85, and 30?

Well, I guess they are all likeable, even the 35. I kind of agree. Though I like some others on your dislike list.

I mean, who doesn't like the HW55? Especially in factory tyro format. How can you like the 35 and not the 55?

And you like the HW70? Which is OK, but nothing special, and inferior to a Diana LP5/5G.

I agree with you on the 80, at least in sub 12ft-lbs format. Great big heavy cannon whose success over here in the 80s was less down to build quality and great trigger (both of which they had) and more to the fact that many of the "12ft-lbs" ones back then were delivered running at more like 16. But you object to "any kind" of 80? Even a John Darling type Venom? Still not my preferred spring rifle, but you could do a heck of a heck of a lot worse.

The 25 has never really been on my list, Alistair.

Can only agree on the PCPs.

But all those others are awesome!

So that's why you sold me the 55 then? Love it; must give it an airing soon.

Yes, it would only take going back to the old type without the new bits and the star breech barrel and no warning stamped on them, just fit a spring guide that actually fitted the spring and fit a ABT that didn't sound like a ratchet on the fixed barrels. Until then my 17 year old 80 is a long term keeper
