If its marked 17v on the charger that's too much, don't forget you only charging a 9v battery so you need a different charger, i am no expert but charge voltages should only be a couple of volts over the battery voltage, mine may be pushing it, at 12v 500mA so before fitting the new battery's i would buy the correct charger/power supply.

    Batteries arrived and fitted,
Magazine arrived, just charger to come but enough juice to fire a dozen shots.
Zeros at 25 and very happy on accuracy of this.
It has the adjustable target stock which is a bit over the top for field use, only thing with daystate is you have to have high mounts for magazine use.
But as it was a freebee no grumbles. John

    Early ones yes.

    But.

After a certain year they lowered all the breeches so standard medium mounts can be used.

I suspect you have the MK3 FTR ... according to Tony Belas FTR stood for 'Field Target Rifle' ... thumbhole stock, adjustable cheekpiece, adjustable butt pad. Very nice. As new I do not think they came with a magazine ... I will stand correction on this though. I do not use a mag on my MK3 FTR, just a single loader tray and use medium mounts with a 44mm scope front.
I think as standard it came with a 'muzzle brake'(?) ... I have a short Daystate mod on mine and it is virtually silent. Very nice rifle.

    Cheers, Phil

    Yes.
That about sums it up, thumbhole adjustable stock. Stainless steel muzzle break (?.
    Chrome)????.
I don't think its made for a Magazine as there is no metal button for magazine magnet but one works fine.
I could go the single shot tray route for lowering the scope mounts but it's high on the stock even with adjustment fully down so would struggle to get my head much lower
Blue ing is unmarked-and stock is nice, (even wife commented on it.&#128563
Will get it charged and find a decent scope for it, have a 6x42 Liesenfeld on it, more 17HMR for this.

Will update as it comes together. John

New charger arrived and gun charged over night.
Up to farm last night in strong wind, zero at 30 yards and a pleasure to shoot.
Using FTT , not tried anything else yet but very impressed with this rifle, havnt used it with a silencer but not overly loud without one plus it's shorter.
Put 5 magazines thru it with no problem, the bolt action very smooth and quite.
Wish my Rapid had a trigger like this, think I'm a convert😊. John
