W.Greener rear sight?

Hi All,

About a month back I bought a box of bits off E bay. Mainly got it for the BSA bits it contained, but whilst I was looking around E bay I saw a old W.W.Greener rear sight and thought "wait a minuet, I have one of those". So i opened the box of bits and found all the pieces of the sight and put them back together and it was nearly the exact same as the one online. But mine is only stamped W.Greener and the mounting holes are under the sight instead of either end (which is odd since to mount this sight you would have to disassemble the sight, mount the base and then resemble) So my question is, is this a fake? (I know a lot of W.W.Greener guns were faked in Europe) or has it been cut down in the past? I dont really plan on using it so my thoughts were to sell it. But its kind of hard to sell when you know nothing about it....
