    Benjamin Sheridan mod 397G

Trying to find anything out about this odd one. Bought off a member on here about 18 months ago.

Co2 bolt action. 177 pellet. Chromed action, very similar to a silver streak but Co2 and. 177.

Not in the blue book 10th. Edition, Google blanks.

Even a year of manufacture would be nice.

Sounds like a Benjamin 397G to me, possibly with a pentagon F marking.

Yep, I often have the same problem.

These rifles are very difficult to date accurately if they were made in Racine ( serial numbers on mine begin with V followed by 6 numbers) but those made in Bloomfield (dot matrix type serial number) are quite easy to date.

I'll have a look, it's packed away now ready for the bash. There's some dot matrix punched text at the muzzle end, but the rest is rolled at the rear.

    Thanks
