I’m using them through my Impact, they won’t group at 900ftps i’ve wound it down to 830ftps and it’s grouping at 100yds indoors within a 20p coin!!!
Hi all,
Does anyone have any experience with .25 JSB King Heavy MK2 pellets shooting around 900fps? How are they grouping?
Or any .25 boat tail slugs between 31g to 35g performance and availability?
Also does anyone know anywhere in the UK they can be brought from?
Cheers
Geoff

They are fine but probably not quite as good as the 31 grain Baracudas. That being said 900 fps is too much for either. Experience with high power FAC .25 leads me to regard 50 ft lb as absolute tops. That means 850 fps with Baracuda. I've not run the JSB's that high but I'd be surprised if there was much in it. I know I bang on about air economy with FAC air rifles but to me there is just no point in wasting air.

I use the std King .25 25.4gn at 862fps / 42ftlb(ish), on a 42yd zero.
I recently tried the heavy 33gn, it was doing 756ish fps, grouped well at that, but was 40mm low at the above zero, so I'm sticking with the 25gn.
They're imported by AA & I think also by Daystate so anywhere that sell's either can get them, but as with most things .25 related few places stock them unless asked.
Usually loads on the bay of e.
Not at 900fps but, I've seen what a 33.3gn .25 JSB can do at around 825fps - it was an awesome set up and very accurate at 60yrds.
But, I guess it's like any calibre and velocity - the rifle and pellet have to work together or you've got nothing.
All of the above.
Thanks for the info guys. I will buy a tin of 33g JSB and some H&N then start punching paper.
