Falcon scopes are decent and, they're fairly weighty.

    All of the above.

Hawke Sidewinder is quite a heavy unit.

Can you add some lead someplace ? Or get a steel filler cover made up ?
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

I had a Konus Pro 3-12x50AOIR for a while. It was very solid and quite heavy.

Most hawkes and other cheaper scopes are heavy, the problem is if you are used to the Legend then the glass on a Hawke will not be as good when it comes to low light performance etc especially if it's the older 5-15x40 AO Legend in my opinion.

change the balance toward muzzle heavy with a muzzle break.

That way you damp out your wobbles without overweighting the rifle, oh and it's a lot cheaper.

    Heavyish Scope

Have a Bushnell 4-14x50 Scopechief model 70-4145A, cracking set of optics just too heavy for my liking

Are you just looking for a cheap heavy scope, or something like a 10-50x60 type heavy scope?

I may be selling one of the latter if you into target shooting with descent scopes?
