Exactly one week, three 'phone calls, two e mails and contact through E Bay and possibly having read this or a mate having read this and passed the message on.
Regardless of what, how and when, it is now sorted and I am a happy bunny - at last.

Running a business doesn't allow for patience and once I made telephone contact the guy said that he did receive the returned items Wednesday, the day after I posted them.
If I was on that end of the business I would have ensured the correct item was posted back the same day or at least contact made to confirm receipt and that it would be rectified 'soon' that is the usual/best way to run a good business.
JS Ramsbottom refunded me the day they received my return.
