I aslo think .20 makes a lot of sense for springers, espcially hunting...

- for a given power, .20 is more efficient than .177, so you get less recoil
- less recoil = easier to shoot accurately / less hold sensitivity
- field conditions with a springer you are looking at 35 yeards max rally, maybe 40 at a push - over these ranges, the trajectory difference between .20 and .177 is nothing
- .20 will make a bigger hole and carry about the same energy
- less fiddly to load with cold fingers

Hey, I don't have any problem with people asking why?
Asking questions shows an open mind, which is far better than a dead head "there's no pellet choice" attitude I bet there are only 4 or 5 different .177 pellets used at most hft/ft comps out of all the different brands (80% of which are cheap & nasty) In .20 we don't have to worry about buying cheap & nasty, because no one makes cheap & nasty in .20

Fair enough, IL climb off my high horse. I just hate it when I feel there is an underlying motive behind the questions that are not about gaining knowledge is all. Thanks angrybear
