I always think that Gentlemen above a certain age sporting light coloured trousers display a certain bravery and Devil may care attitude which keeps the Dunkirk spirit alive and well.
BTW who is the chap on the left, Peter ?
All the best Mick
These three Gentlemen know just about all there is to know about old BSA rifles....

Dark trousers for me too
Why Mick, do they show up Balistol stains ?
“An airgun or two”………
Must admit I miss Edbear's contributions to posts on this site.
John
A very decent fellow, with remarkable knowledge and, as you say, very helpful to fellow collectors and new people here; he was of astonishing help to me when I joined and really did get me involved with this hobby in a way I had not expected possible.
Andy, I hope I will see you at Kempton.
Yes, Edbear is a very knowledgeable fellow on guns, fishing, machining and welding, etc.
Ed actually introduced Bell Target shooting to the Boinger Bash, which has now become a permanent feature since Les Allam built us a bell target.
This has also lead to me spending the best part of a grand on Feinwerkbaus for folks to try their hand at the discipline --- hang on, knowing Ed's cost me money.
All the best Mick
...And I believe he had a very large collection at one time, including BSA Standards with telescopic sights amongst other things. I believe his specimens are on Garvin's magnificent site featuring old BSA air rifles. How splendid it would be were he to attend Kempton - an impossible thought, I fear!
