Was this a local auction
With a scope and sling fitted, just sold at auction for £80.
Even with fees that's a cheap buy
Was this a local auction
Thats local if you live in Stroud.
Its common enough, General Sales at local auctions often sell air rifles and gun related stuff. They don't always do well; really depends on who is in the room.
I bought £2.5k worth of reloading kit for £400 plus commission a few years back. A few rifles and air pistols very well too. By the time I sold two items I'd recouped my costs. Its the luck of it all, and if you collect and know your stuff then occasionally you will pick up a bargain or two. Just offsets a few of your mistakes.
Webley Omega in fair condition is only worth £160.
Think I have seen the same website then, rang around a few with very tempting items on the books but all said no to posting
Yep, that is seriously cheap for one of the very best air rifle models that not only Webley, but Britain in general produced, pre Brum Longbow (another classic Webley), and the AirArms TX200.
Imho (fwiw), if in vgc, said Omega carbine should've been the thick end of £300 -- with or without the scope. Why do I never stumble across these bargain priced goodies?
