Webley Junior series 2 pistol sear pin

    Dear All,

Before I drill it out I thought I would seek your advice. I have a Webley Junior series 2 all stripped down apart from I cannot get the sear pin to move. The pin looks quite rounded on the end but will not move at all. I do not want to use excessive force to try and move it and am about to resort to drilling it out.

Anyone got any tips for getting these to move.

    Regards

    Andy

    Tight pin

Have you tried hitting each end? I'm not sure about the sear pin, but some pins are tapered and need to be knocked out the correct way. Otherwise, you need a good quality punch of the correct size and give it a good smack. Drilling it out would probably lead to an enlarged or elliptical hole, and a new oversize pin would be required.

Yes I have tried both sides. I was at one point wondering if it had been peened.

I've just had a look at one of my Juniors, and it looks as though you need to drive it out from right to left (looking at the gun as you would shoot it). The LH end of the pin is rounded as you say.
