    If you want one that not pain to use go with the RCBS 5.0.5.
    All the RCBS ones are good mate

    Beam scales

    I've been using my Hornady beam scales for over 25 years, never had an issue with them.

    Unfortunately the ones you are using haven't been made for about 10 years, Hornady launched a new beam scale 3-4 years ago, not a bad scale but not a patch on the old "M" type. Although the Hornady/Pacific "M" type looks like it was built in a Russian tractor factory it actually works very well.

    well av managed to get my hands on a second hand set of lyman 500 scales see how we go with them
