Just a quick update on some mostly finished bits so you can get an idea of how the shed is shaping up.
The raised floor and whizzers are yet to be added, but that's just about the only things left to do now.

I shot 20 shots in there last week to test my pistol, but it was nowhere near finished and was a bit cobbled together.
The raised floor will be going in over this weekend.
I think the whole deal will be finished during next week depending on my work load.
So hopefully we can have the first proper full shoot in it by Sunday next (away working Saturday!)

I regret that I have not the room for such a gem!

It may be impertinent but I am sure that many of us would love to know the total cost of materials, please.

It occurs to me that perhaps a few people would like you to build one for them; a new career, perhaps?

Congratulations on a magnificent job and I wish you and your daughter many hours of safe fun with it.

I have no issue with you asking how much did it cost me, I guess some people have already wondered that?

Wherever I live, I always end up getting to know where I can buy all sorts of bits from that I can make 'stuff' from, so because of that, I have been able to save some money here and there on this range. I saved some money on the ducting because I did a deal with the boss for cash. The carpet all came out the local carpet shops bin for free! The metal for the pellet catchers and hand rail (not seen yet) was free from a mate. The insulation (and other small parts) I had 'in stock' in my storage shed, the paint was left over from our house decoration etc etc. I also did all the work myself including the welding.

By the time I had the main lumps in place (post 45) it had cost me about £800. But that was before all the bits to finish it off, like MDF, ply wood, insulation, fixtures and fittings. I stopped counting after £800 and just closed my eyes and bought as cheap as I could, if not for free !!

I'm guessing the number is about £1400-1500. But when you consider a fitted out shed is going to cost 'X' anyway, wether it's for a reading room, gym, hobby room etc, I don't think my cost is too bad. I have two gardens that back onto mine, and both have shed gyms in them, I can hear them crashing and bashing the weights! I bet their sheds with equipment in cost way more than mine. But then once my steyr and my daughters MPR is in there and the shed is doing what it was made for, I expect ours cost more

Just to put the cost of this range into context, you can buy two BSA R10's, or one Steyr pistol, but still £300 short of an FX Crown (that many people have).

Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Thanks for the information, Sir. Good value for money, I reckon. Just one example, I have friend who rides pushbikes, their prices are obscene!! As I said, many happy hours of enjoyment for the both of you and no travelling time or costs!
