    Walther LG90 Ambi SOLD

SOLDI did not know whether to put this information in the Target section, or the Collectable section - but since it is primarily a full Match Rifle I have decided that this is the right place to put it as it will appeal to almost any red blooded Classic target shooter who also appreciates fine workmanship in a very accurate SSP match rifle.

This is the unusual Ambi stocked variant so it is suitable for both left and right handed shooters.

It is worth noting that I have also owned and shot the standard right handed LG90 and can reassure anyone that may need convincing that in use this Ambi stock is every bit as comfortable to use and gives nothing away to its more usual bespoke right handed variant.

The bonus of course is that it is also good for left handed shooters to use too! - and when the time comes to sell (if you can bare to part with it) it should hold its value as a true ambidextrous classic match rifle.

This is an unusual version of the LG90 that can appeal to the Classic target shooter and collector alike that is also a pleasure to shoot and is extremely accurate at 10 meters. I have no PCP match rifle that can outshoot this SSP match rifle so it can hold its own against any other match rifle in use at 10 meters.

As a 6 yard MPL or Bell Target rifle it will have no rivals in performance but it will stand "head and shoulders" above the more usually seen rivals in terms of classic quality and supreme accuracy.

Walther quality is always "top notch" and these rifles are as close to being "hand finished" as you are likely to find. The workmanship reflects an era when Walther was regarded as one of the worlds best ( some say THE best) airgun manufacturer in the world.

You may be led into thinking that I really like this rifle - and you would be right - it will be a real wrench to part with it, but I am getting older now and don't want to leave my wife with the unenvialble problem of trying to clear my target air rifle and pistol collection so I need to start work on this long and slow process now .-.- as it could take years to acheive

I had to "draw lots" to decide the sequence that I will use to decide the order in which to sell all (almost all) of my match rifle collection, and sadly this lovely rifle came out of the hat first!

This rifle is in excellent original and un-modified condition with only the expected small age related minor marking here and there, but it is in overall really great condition for its age and shoots perfectly.

I am asking £525 for this lovely classic match rifle and would welcome anyone that can make the trip to Rossendale to come and inspect it and shoot it at 10 meters (and 6 yards) any Tuesday or Thursday evening on the RMTC club range.

I have just taken some pictures of the rifle for those that would like to check it over before travelling to see it, or for anyone that is unable to collect it but would like to have it delivered to any mainland UK address.

    Now SOLD

Anyone who is considering buying this SSP match air rifle may like to know that these rifles are very reliable and like most SSP airguns (of any type) the usual type of "failure" or maintenance is usually restricted to changing a seal now and again - and these can be easily found in the UK from a number of specialist gun shops and "O" ring suppliers.

I have owned and shot examples of these LG90 match rifles for many years and have never needed to change anything other than a breach seal (a rare event) but I do know of others that have completely stripped and resealed different classic Walther SSP match rifles and have reported no problems in finding any of the seals required to compete the job successfully.

    Hello to All,

    +1 on the Walther LG90.

My LG90 is still the most accurate rifle I have ever had.

This rifle is a bargain - all Zooma's rifles are in superb, and more often than not, in mint condition.

What else could you get for the money that would shoot as well ?

Have fun & a good weekend

    Best regards

    Russ

Pictures sent out to those who have requested them.

Lots of compliments about the lovely condition - and the price too - but no buyer yet.

Anyone who has shown an interest in this rifle will be disappointed if they miss it as it really is a good-un

This superb classic match air rifle is still for sale.

I cant believe it is still here, but if nobody wants to buy it I will fit some, raiser blocks and use it in the MPL series.
