Evening all, bit of a vague one here but I wondered if anyone has any info on this firm ?
The name is stamped (upside down) on an Anson air rifle stock.
E. Anson & Co, Steelhouse lane is on one side (the right way up) but it's the other name I can't find a reference to. I'm presuming it would've been an ironmongers or sporting goods shop but there's no sign of them in Graces guide or from a Google search.
Any ideas please ? It's not the end of the world if I don't find out but it's nice to know these things if anyone has knowledge of them that they'd share.

They would appear to have been be gun factors,
Google found this, see the first advert for the seller of the "cyclists friend"
