    Dave Welham stock

Looking for a Right hand Dave Welham stock.
    For a 77 or preferably an 80.
But I have most models and the starting point is to find someone who has one and is willing to sell.
Been on my bucket list for ages.
    Love the aesthetic and craftsmanship.
Its a long shot, but worth asking.
    Starting here (rather than Wanted).
    Hope thats OK mods??

I believe it's a John Welham stock you want, Dave's brother of Airmasters...

There was the FT, FTS and probably a few others, some Airmasters expert will appear and tell you all about them, maybe even sell you one.

    Airmasters

Also did the hunter stock, tryolean and the dominator stock for HW's. Got a airmasters tryolean on an 80 and an FT on a 77. Great stocks and it's a great shame not made today. Mach 1.5

Gents. Slip of the keyboard. You are of course correct. It is a John Welham stock that I am after. I first became ‘attached’ when I saw a pals GC2 nestled in one of Johns stocks. Since then I have hankered for one. My end game - and the purpose of this thread - is to identify someone who would be willing to release one of these beauties. It must be my age but very few contemporary stocks seem to cut the mustard by comparison, and I guess the passing of time builds a patina that you will either like or loathe. Paul you are correct. It is a shame that they (or there equivalents) are no longer produced. When Starting a thread like this you are at least filled with some optimism all be it for a short while. I am a realist however, and guess that the chances of procuring said woodwork is slim by any measure!

Reminds me of writing a christmas list aged 6. Things don’t seem to change much.

Now there’s a prime example. No need nor desire for a Ripley. But I’ve looked at that on BAR maybe 100 times and been tempted just because of the stock! I have ‘welhamitis’ .... clearly.
