Gents. Slip of the keyboard. You are of course correct. It is a John Welham stock that I am after. I first became ‘attached’ when I saw a pals GC2 nestled in one of Johns stocks. Since then I have hankered for one. My end game - and the purpose of this thread - is to identify someone who would be willing to release one of these beauties. It must be my age but very few contemporary stocks seem to cut the mustard by comparison, and I guess the passing of time builds a patina that you will either like or loathe. Paul you are correct. It is a shame that they (or there equivalents) are no longer produced. When Starting a thread like this you are at least filled with some optimism all be it for a short while. I am a realist however, and guess that the chances of procuring said woodwork is slim by any measure!

Reminds me of writing a christmas list aged 6. Things don’t seem to change much.

Now there’s a prime example. No need nor desire for a Ripley. But I’ve looked at that on BAR maybe 100 times and been tempted just because of the stock! I have ‘welhamitis’ .... clearly.

    Welham Stock

Have tried the one in BAR and it fits like a glove. I've always been a fan of airmasters work and paid them a visit once in 1987 to have my 77 FTS stock completed. Lovely guys they were too. Always wanted an FTS stock for an 80. We were spoilt back in the day and maybe we didn't realise what we had till it's no longer available? Mach 1.5

They done the FWB Sport in an FTS stock, I have a 77 chameleon in a Dominator Stock and I did have a FWB sport in a tyrolean! Not many 80s were done by Airmasters and most that were tended to be in either a tyrolean/Hunter or a dominator stock
