    Yet another Webley MK 11

I just took a couple of hours cleaning up this .22 rifle for Kempton. It shoots well, has the peep sight but no blade and wheel adjuster in the back sight. The stock is in very good condition and the metal is not pitted. Serial number S1135. Ideas on value ?

As it's a scarce 2nd. pattern with what looks to be a good stock, even in that condition I would have thought £450 wouldn't be unreasonable, although I am sure others may give a different valuation.

I would have thought at least that if the stocks good?

If you hadn’t already cold blued it I would have bid you £400 myself as a refinish project but it’s a bitch to hot black over G96

You should certainly get £450/£480 looking tidy as it stands now.

Didn't do one of my glossy super jobs as I haven't got time, but I could have it in a shiny silver (white) version tout suite.

G96 is kryptonite for hot bluing sadly, the copper is very hard to get rid of and causes all sorts of problems with the bath makeup,

Let’s have a chat at Kempton though if it doesn’t sell, at £450/£475 I don’t think it will hang around though.

Been reading the "Living" Bible version today, and Proverbs chapter 20 verse 14 made me think of Kempton yesterday when I sold the Webley. Peter said value is around £650 and I sold it for £380.

At least you will have company on the journey and good luck on the day...
