My 2*co2 powered Winchester no longer indexes the magazine. Anyone had a similar problem - remedy. John from Leicestershire.

Agree. At some point they changed the cylinder “magazine” design (though they are still interchangeable) to reduce the incidence of this kind of failure. Try brand new cylinder “magazines”.
(I put “magazine” in quotation marks because, technically, a magazine both holds ammunition and allows a mechanism to feed it into the chamber, whereas the Umarex “magazine” does not do the latter. OCD, me.)
If that’s not it, you probably have a worn pawl (little lever that turns the “mags”). Which means a painful near-total strip down to replace, if you or your now long-suffering gunsmith can get the replacement part.
A known and sadly common fault across the Umarex revolver guns. And annoyingly fiddly and time-consuming to fix. Fundamentally a design/engineering flaw.
