....... Were you tempted to make it a thumbhole stock?
Would have been better looking if it was possible. The inlettting for the trigger connecting rods are quite deep and there is only 10-15mm of wood left wheer the rear stock bolt is. Doesn't afect me as I always shoot thum up . I need to address the inletting as it makes the action quite noisy, may add sound deadening to make it quieter.

Have a different trigger link idea that wold make thumbhole stock possible, will try it out if funds allow.

I'm the same mate - even with my standard TX stock I shoot thumb up.

Would a rubber inlay quieten it down?

    All of the above.

I built an aluminium TX 200, and made a stock from ally channel , it was very noisy , I quietened it down by injecting spray foam, it worked well , wrap the action in cling film to protect it .

    Slight change.....

As the hand grip was too far away from trigger and only option I could think of was to replace it ..... I thought I might as well have a go at making it a thumbhole

Pity about the screw and the hand grip is obviously too deep plus it needs a little more sanding and re-oiling amd still need to sort out the hinge.

All in all it's not too bad

    Evolved a bit more

getting to the point where I'm risking the stock being too weak or breaking through to the inletting
