    Reloading in garage

The plan was to build my permanent reloading bench in a spare room but my wife tells me, correctly, that the big solid table I have in the garage would also be very suitable. If I did a clear out, there would also be plenty of room in the garage! The table is really sturdy and would be ideal but too big to bring into the house.

Does anyone else use a garage to reload in or should I keep with plan A and use a spare bedroom?

Looking forward to any comments and thanks in advance.

I made up a bench etc in the garage but it gets cold and damp in there and don't want to leave my reloading stuff out there to be honest, if I had the choice of a room in the house that's what I'd go for and I'm sure others will agree...

I now keep my gear in the house and reload in the kitchen...

I used to reload in the garage - absolutely fine apart from in the winter.

Since the kids have left I use a spare bedroom - much nicer in the Winter.

How do you heat it? Mine is attached to the house so it wouldn't be too difficult to insulate it to some extend although I'm being drawn to a nice comfy spare room....

Mine is also integral & insulated. Got a large space heater and got anti-condensation heaters in my storage lockers. Also got a good selection of thermal gear from working offshore for years.

How much reloading are you planning on doing?
If it's not a lot - say 50 rounds a week, then the garage will be fine, particularly if you choose to do them when it's relatively good weather.
Alternatively, if you're planning on doing a lot, and spending hours at a time in an ice cold garage, the spare room might be the better option.
Personally, I wouldn't consider the spare room option, it's part of my hobby and I don't mind if I have to "rough it a bit".
