Quick O ring question please guys

I have quite a few metric O rings that are identified on the individual packets as having a 1.6 mm cross section, however when i measure them they are 1.5 mm cross section. Is this usual as it has me confused, many thanks for any replies.

    Kindest regards

As above but there will always be a degree of compression when you measure with calipers or a micrometer unless it's a solid object?

Also depends on the quality/accuracy of your measuring device

pick the o ring up with the calipers and loosen them until it drops out .
