    Bsa cadet major rearsight parts

Are there any hoarders of spares out there who may have any Cadet Major rear sight parts?
I'm trying to restore one for an octogenarian neighbour who has owned the rifle from new, but it's missing the rear sight blade, adjuster wheel and spring. I reckon I have something that will replace the original spring, but the blade and wheel I would like to source without resorting to Knibbs/Chambers if at all possible.
Can anyone in the Gentlemen's Section offer help?
    Best regards, Clogger

Would you like me to have a look at the Melbourne airgun fair?
If so, is there an amount you would go up to?

This will be the first one I go to, so haven't got a clue about classic spare part prices!
Too many guns, or not enough time?

    That's a kind offer, thanks.
Would £20-£25 secure a complete rear sight (which would be useful) or the major parts of one?
Yeah, give it a go please.
Good luck in your own hunting ld wink:

No joy I am afraid, the only ones I saw were on rifles!

    Good luck with your quest.

I picked up a Webley Mk III in 177 flavour that I didn't have any intentions of buying this morning...

Thanks all the same for keeping a lookout for the bits.
Enjoy your MKIII -- I came back from Kempton with my wallet lighter for the cost of an illicit BSA Standard .22, 1924 vintage!

I think I have a cadet major rear sight currently fitted to a Model D action in my spares box. curiously the rifle had a Webley Mk3 front sight.

I freed it off in the past, it having seized solid at some point in its life. It I remember correctly it is body, wheel and blade but no plunger or spring.

If you want it let me know.

That sounds like it could be just what's needed, thanks for the offer.
    You'll have PM shortly.
