Webley Mk 3 - Serial Number

    Good morning,

I'm lucky enough to have recently acquired a rather nice Webley Mk 3 .22 I'd rate the guns overall condition as 9/10.

It's serial number is A2452. I'd like to know the year of manufacture and anything else of interest about the gun should anyone be in a position to help?

Also an estimate as to it's value would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Has there been some sort of rush on Mk 3's in the past week? I bought one on Saturday, and now there are quite a few posts appearing from other new owners!

Anyway, mine is a 0.177, condition about 5/10, but from what I can work out, it is a late one. Would you be able to pin down the date from serial number A6154?

    Hope you can help.

    Cheers,

    Mark.

As yours is a .177, it was manufactured in June 1971.
There should be another .22 rifle bearing the same number from July 1968, as Webley used some numbers twice.

This often happens - a few posts on a particular quality rifle or pistol and collectors notice a gaping hole in their collection and just have to fill it.

    Right now it's a Webley Mk3. Next week it'll be another make/model.

    I am the OP

Why do other folk hijack my thread? Mildly irritating to say the least.

Post your own Q's up and use some common sense and decorum !

    Grow-up.

    It's just a forum thread.

Wow, calm down mate. Talking about common sense. If every one were to ask the same question by creating different threads, the collectible page will be full of them! You had your question about the age answered. As for value, its hard without pictures but since you say its a 9/10 I would say around £150 plus. The earlier ones are worth more.

Now please stop acting like a spoiled child. We are all adults here.
